Supplies:

Scor-Pal

Card stock: various colors

Patterned paper of choice

Ink

Stamps

Scor-Tape or strong adhesive

Paper trimmer

Embellishments

Optional for coloring: odourless mineral spirits, blending stump, water color paper, water color pencils

Step 1:

Cut 2 pieces of cardstock to measure 4 1/4" x 11".

Step 2:

Score each piece at 3" and 8". Turn paper top to bottom and score at 5 1/2". We are creating an accordion so we need to alternate the scores. The inside flaps will be narrower than the middle and outside flaps.

Stamp and color your images. Silvia used colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits.

Step 3:

Glue the inside ends together to form one long accordion.

Step 5: Cut two pieces of cardstock 3" long x 2 3/4". Cut a 1/4 away from each side leaving a tab at the top. Refer to photo.

Step 4: Slits are cut in the shorter center pages. Align the score mark with the cutting groove in your cutter and use the ruler on the cutter. Start cutting 1" down and finish 1" up from the bottom. The slit should be 2 1/4" long. The little arrows in the orange blade show where you are cutting to.

Step 6: Insert the pull out pages from the back. If you want to put patterned paper on them it before you insert them.

This is the book from the front.

Step 7: Glue only where indicated by the white lines. Close the pages.

One of the pull out tabs has a place to put all the babies info on it...name date etc of the birth.

Diana: The excited parents agreed to have their photo shown. Thank you.

I chose to put a spine cover on my little book. Cut a piece of cardstock, same color as the tabs,

1" x 4 1/4". Center the middle of it between the 3 1/2" groove and the inverted triangle groove. Score on both these grooves. Fold into spine shape. Glue in place.
