Altoid Tin and Tag Booklet

Supplies:

Scor-Pal®

Cardstock:

One 3” x 8” (Pretty in Pink)

Four 2 ½” x 1 ¼” (White)

Assorted small scraps for punched embellishments

Patterned Paper:

One 2” x 8” (Pebbles)

2 scraps for 1” circle punch outs

Accessories:

Assorted punches: Tag corner, Word Window, 1” circle, Photo Corner, Scallop, ¼” hand held circle, 1/8” hand held circle, Flower, Heart (All SU!)

Assorted ribbons

Eyelets (SU!)

Buttons (SU!)

Embroidery floss

Silent Setter (Provo Craft)

Adhesive (Scotch Tacky Adhesive)

Scor-Tape™ or strong double sided adhesive

Step 1 :

Score 3” x 8” piece of cardstock at 2”, 4”, and 6”, set aside.

Step 2 :

Score 2” x 8” piece of patterned paper at 2”, 4”, and 6”.

Step 3 :

Fold patterned paper accordion style and trim, as shown, at an angle through all layers.

Step 4 :

Sew patterned paper along bottom edge to previously scored cardstock. Be sure to line scores up so book folds neatly when finished. Nip corners of each panel with the tag punch, folding when necessary to create “tag tops” for each page of the tag book.

Step 5 :

Punch four 1” circles in assorted colors and/or patterned papers. Score each circle in half.

Step 6 :

Fold each circle on the score line and adhere to each tag top. Punch 1/4” hole through all layers.
Set eyelets one each side of scored lines and on outside edges, as shown. When completed there will be 4 separate pockets for the mini tags

Step 7 :

Tie assorted ribbons through tag tops. Decorate pockets as desired.

Step 8 :

Punch tag corners on 4 insert tags. Punch hole with 1/8” circle punch in each tag, centered at the top of the tag. Decorate each tag. A fun ribbon completes each mini tag.

Step 9: Insert finished mini tags into pockets.

Step 10: Decorate tin with patterned papers and embellishments to match the tag book. Band is made with one piece of 1 ½” x 8” piece of patterned paper adhered to a piece of 1 5/8” x 8” piece of cardstock, distress edges. A scalloped flower, decorated button, and hang tag complete the belt. The belt is secured around tin using Scor-Tape™ with the seam on the reverse side of the tin. After tin is decorated, fold tag book and gently place in finished tin. A special gift for someone special to you!
