How do I know if I have Version 1 or Version 2 of the Scor-Pal?
Version 1 and Version 2 are grey in color and has grooves at every half inch. The latest Version 3 introduced in December 2010 is light blue in color and has grooves every one quarter inch.
Can I buy Scor-Pals from major retailers like Michael’s, Hobby Lobby and Jo-Ann’s?
No. Scor-Pal products are sold by the smaller independent retail scrapbook, craft and rubber stamp stores.
My Scor-Tool has worn down or I’ve lost it, where can I obtain a replacement?
Extra Scor-Tools can be purchased on our website at www.scor-pal.com/store at a cost of $4.00. A harder version of the Scor-Tool was introduced in December 2008. The Scor-Tool does wear down over time. It is important when using it, to hold it like a pen at a 45 degree angle and score on the side, not the tip. You also do not need 'white knuckle' pressure to make a good score mark. It is possible to restore the points with fine sand paper.
How much does it cost to ship your products?
Orders over $75.00 shipped to a North American address (including Alaska & Hawaii) are shipped free. Other orders are shipped by USPS mail or UPS Ground at standard prices. The actual cost of shipping your order will be shown in the check out process before you commit to the order.
Where are your products shipped from?
Orders destined for United States or International addresses are shipped from Blaine, Washington State. Canadian orders are shipped from Surrey, British Columbia by Canada Post.
Do you ship your products internationally?
Yes, we ship internationally, but you may be able to save additional money by buying from our international resellers. We have retailers in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries who sell our products.
I am a retail store; do you sell on a wholesale basis?
Yes. We sell wholesale either directly or through a number of distributors.
Where can I find tutorials and projects, using the Scor-Pal?
Over 160 projects and tutorials can be found on our website at www.scor-pal.com/projects_listing.htm . Go to the Basics section, http://www.scor-pal.com/basics/index.htm for extra information in particular how to do non-standard measurements when there is no groove at the spot you want. Both the ‘Projects’ and ‘Basics’ tabs are found on the home page.
For some reason I cannot see the links to the individual projects on you website?
I think the problem may be that you are using a newer version Microsoft Internet Explorer browser which is not compatible with some of the pages of our website. Some older pages were developed with an older version of Microsoft Publisher that the newer versions of IE do not support anymore. If you go to the main projects page http://www.scor-pal.com/projects.htm there is a link at the bottom of this page. All the projects in a pdf format are listed there.
Another option is to download and use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers which do not have this problem. We apologize for this inconvenience.
What is the difference between the Scor-Pal and the Scor-Buddy?
The main difference is the size of the units. The Scor-Pal scoring surface is 12” x 12”, whereas the Scor-Buddy is 7” x 7”. While the Scor-Buddy is more portable, the Scor-Pal’s size offers the opportunity to undertake more complex projects such as boxes and envelopes.
